Sarawak Energy is initiating the development of CPS across selected river basins to expand clean and reliable electricity generation.

Five priority river basins have been identified to support this initiative.

Sarawak Energy welcomes partnerships with interested parties capable of contributing to the advancement of Sarawak’s renewable energy and low-carbon objectives.

CPS Development Process Flow at Sarawak Energy

The development of CPS follows a structured, multi-stage process to ensure that projects are technically sound, commercially viable and aligned with Sarawak’s planning and regulatory requirements.

The diagram below illustrates the CPS development process flow, from feasibility assessment through to commissioning, including key evaluation and approval milestones. This approach promotes transparency and provides clear guidance for participants, ensuring that CPS projects meet safety, socio-environmental and system planning standards while supporting Sarawak’s renewable energy objectives.

Opening of Request for Proposal

Sarawak Energy welcomes the participation of all interested parties. Please note the following dates for the initiation of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process.

  • Announcement of Request for Proposal: 17 January 2026
  • Briefing session for interested participants: 30 January 2026
  • Closing of Registration: 28 February 2026
  • Commencement of Stage 1: 1 March 2026
  • Closing Date for Request for Proposal (RFP) Submission: 31 August 2026

Note:

The briefing session will be conducted as follows:

  • Physical Meeting: Baram Room (Level 2), Menara Sarawak Energy. (In-person attendance encouraged)
  • Virtual Meeting: via Microsoft Teams. The meeting link will be provided upon request via email at: single.buyer@sarawakenergy.com.
