KUCHING
18 MARCH 2026
A total of 72 children under the care of the Sarawak Orphans Welfare Board (PERYATIM) Kuching received contributions ahead of Hari Raya Aidilfitri from Sarawak Energy through the company’s Jalinan Kasih Ramadan programme on 16 March.
The initiative reflects Sarawak Energy’s continued commitment to supporting the communities it serves while sharing the spirit of compassion and generosity during the holy month of Ramadan.
The contributions were presented by Datuk Haji Sharbini Suhaili, Sarawak Energy Group Chief Executive Officer, during a ceremony held at PERYATIM Kuching’s premises together with Company’s senior management members.
In addition, Sarawak Energy also extended contributions to PERYATIM and Rumah Seri Kenangan Kuching, a welfare home for the elderly, in support of the ongoing efforts of both organisations in caring for vulnerable members of the community.
Datuk Haji Sharbini Suhaili said Ramadan serves as an important reminder of the values of compassion, generosity and solidarity, particularly in supporting those who may need additional care and assistance.
“Ramadan is a time to reflect on compassion, generosity and togetherness. It reminds us to reach out to those who may need extra care and support. Today, we are privileged to share the spirit of Ramadan with the children of PERYATIM and bring some joy as they prepare to celebrate Hari Raya,” he said.
The Jalinan Kasih Ramadan programme is part of Sarawak Energy’s broader corporate social responsibility efforts, reflecting its dedication to creating meaningful social impact.
By reaching out to children under PERYATIM’s care and supporting Rumah Seri Kenangan Kuching, the company seeks to provide meaningful support and inclusivity during the festive season.
