NOTICE

Following the recent policy updated by the Electrical Inspectorate Unit (EIU):

• Only EIU-certified or authorised GCPV Designers are ALLOWED to carry out NEM works in Sarawak.
• NEM applications submitted by SEDA-certified GCPV Designers without EIU authorisation will NO LONGER be accepted.

Conversion to EIU Certification:

• The Ministry of Utility and Telecommunication, Sarawak (MUT) is developing a conversion programme for individuals with existing SEDA certifications.

Interim Process:

• MUT will issue an Authorisation Letter to allow SEDA-certified GCPV Designers to continue carrying out NEM works in Sarawak during the interim period.
• An EIU Authorisation Letter is MANDATORY for all NEM applications.

Application for Authorisation Letter:

• Applications can be submitted via email to the Director of EIU.
