What is the ‘Go Paperless’

campaign?

The ‘Go Paperless’ campaign aims to create awareness of and encourage our customers to adopt the usage of e-Bill instead of printed paper bills.

This campaign is inline with Sarawak Energy’s sustainability initiatives to reduce the reliance on paper bills and protect our environment.

How long is the campaign?

The campaign starts on 1 January 2021 and ends on 31 December 2021. Due to our valued customers' positive response, the campaign has been extended (ending on 31 December 2023) to encourage more e-Bill subscribers.

What is the Sarawak Energy e- Bill?

The Sarawak Energy e-Bill is an electronic version of your monthly electricity bill.

It will be emailed directly to you after you sign up.

What are the benefits of the e- Bill?

Fast – You will receive your bill faster and never miss the due date again.

Convenient – You can view and assess your e-Bill anytime and anywhere.

Privacy – Your e-Bill is sent directly and securely to you, mitigating the risk of it getting lost or stolen.

Environmentally friendly – Reduces paper usage, helping to save our trees.

In addition, when you sign up for our e-Bill, you will receive an RM2 rebate in your monthly electricity bills for 12 months, effective from the next bill after you sign up.

Will I be charged for signing up for the e-Bill?

No, our e-Bill is free.

How do I sign up for the e-Bill?

There are many channels available to sign up.

  • Self-help portal at Sarawak Energy Corporate website:
  • SEB cares app, downloadable via the Apple Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android). 
  • Visit one of our Customer Service Centres and let them know that you would like to opt for the e-Bill
  • Call our Call Centre at 1300-88-3111 and let them know that you would like to opt for the e-Bill

What information do I need to provide to sign up for the e-Bill?

We need you to provide:

  • your name,
  • your Contract Account Number,
  • your email address
  • your phone number

so that we can send your e-Bill seamlessly.

Will Sarawak Energy email my e- Bill immediately after I sign up?

You will start receiving your e-Bill effective from next
month’s bill.

9.

I am not the owner of the Contract Account. Can I still sign up?

Yes, you can. However, the RM2 rebate will be deducted from the monthly bill of the Contract Account that you register.

10.

I have more than one Contract Account. Can I register all my Contract Accounts for e-Bill?

Yes, you can. Each Contract Account registered will receive its respective RM2 rebate for 12 months.

11.

Do I still receive the printed bill after I sign up to e-Bill?

No. You will not receive a printed monthly electricity bill after signing up for the e-Bill.

Can I change my mind and opt back to printed bills after signing up for the e-Bill?

Yes, but you can only opt back to printed bills 6 months after registering for the e-Bill.

13.

I previously opted out from the e- Bill and would now like to register to the e-Bill again within this campaign period. Will this reset my RM2 rebate period?

You will only be entitled to receive RM2 rebate in your monthly electricity bill for the remaining months from the first time you signed up to e-Bill.

Example:

  • You first signed up for the e-Bill in January 2023 so your RM2 rebate period is from February 2023 to January 2024.
  • In August 2023, you opt back to printed bills. Your RM2 rebate will be suspended immediately.
  • In November 2023, you sign up for the e-Bill again. As this is your second time signing up within 12 months, your RM2 rebate period remains until January 2024. That means you will continue receiving RM2 rebate from your next bill until January 2024.
