The Sarawak Energy Scholarship is open to driven and enthusiastic Sarawakian students who demonstrate strong potential, a willingness to learn and the motivation to pursue an undergraduate degree.
Students from lower-income households and communities neighbouring Sarawak Energy’s projects are encouraged to apply.

Study Courses
The scholarship is open to students who are pursuing, or intend to pursue, eligible courses at Sarawak Energy’s preferred Malaysian institutions of higher learning that are not covered under the Sarawak Free Tertiary Education Scheme.
The scholarship supports undergraduate degree programmes in the following fields:1.Electrical Engineering (*)(**)
2.Civil Engineering ** / Mechanical Engineering**
3.Information and Communication Technology (Software Engineering / Computer Science / Information Systems / Digital Artificial Intelligence (AI))
4.Accounting / Finance / Commerce
5.Sustainability / Green Energy / Energy Transition
6.Other Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)-related Fields
Courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Clinical Psychology, Food Technology, Fine Arts, Aeronautics and other related studies are not covered under the scholarship

Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
•Be a Sarawakian with “K” status
•Be 24 years old or below at the time of application
•Have obtained a minimum 2.50 CGPA in STPM, Matriculation, Foundation or Diploma; or a Minimum Grade C in all A-Level subjects
•Have secured an offer to pursue an undergraduate degree at a Malaysian institution of higher learning that is not covered under the Sarawak Free Tertiary Education Scheme, preferably one of Sarawak Energy preferred universities list
•Not be receiving any other scholarship or financial aid
•Have no immediate family member who is currently a Sarawak Energy Scholarship recipient
•Shows strong potential, a willingness to learn and the motivation to pursue higher education through active involvement in leadership, teamwork or other activities.
Application and Assessment
Applicants may use their latest STPM, A-Level, Foundation, Diploma or Matriculation results to apply and must attach a copy of their offer letter from the institution.

After the application deadline, shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend an assessment. The shortlisting process may take up to three (3) weeks from the advertisement closing date.
